Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Ambo MCQ ("we", "us", "the service"), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Ambo MCQ is an independent study aid and is not issued, endorsed, or affiliated with PHECC or any ambulance service.

2. Educational Use Only

Ambo MCQ is for exam preparation only. It is not clinical guidance and must never be used to make decisions about patient care. In practice, always follow the current PHECC Clinical Practice Guidelines, your training, and your service's protocols. While we work hard to keep questions accurate and up to date, we don't guarantee that every question, answer or rationale is complete, correct or current, or that using the service will lead to success in any exam.

3. Use of the Service

You may use Ambo MCQ for personal exam preparation. Do not scrape, copy, redistribute, or resell the question bank, attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or interfere with the service's normal operation.

4. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please give accurate details when you register. We may suspend or terminate accounts used in breach of these terms, with or without notice.

5. Friends, Sharing, Challenges and Chat

Pro members can connect with other users through single-use invite codes, share quiz results, send challenges, and chat. You only become friends with someone if you both agree, and you decide who you connect with and what you share. Please only connect with people you know and trust.

Messages, shared results, display names and anything else another user sends or shows you are that user's content, not ours. We don't monitor or pre-screen what users send each other, and we don't endorse it. Anything you send or share can be seen, copied or screenshotted by the person you send it to, and we can't control what they do with it.

6. Acceptable Conduct

When using the friends, sharing, challenges and chat features, you must not: harass, bully, threaten, intimidate or abuse anyone; send hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise offensive material; send spam or unsolicited promotions; impersonate anyone; share anyone else's personal information without their consent; or send anything unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights.

You must never share patient-identifiable information, clinical records, or confidential information belonging to your employer or ambulance service. Discuss cases only in general, fully anonymised terms, and in line with your professional and legal duties of confidentiality.

7. Other Users' Conduct

You are solely responsible for your own conduct and content, and for your interactions with other users. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ambo MCQ and its owner are not responsible or liable for the conduct, content, messages or actions of any other user, whether online or offline, including any abuse, harassment, loss, damage or distress caused by someone you are linked with through a friendship, shared result, challenge or chat on the service.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can unfriend them at any time from the Friends page. This immediately stops them messaging you or sharing with you, and they can't send you new challenges. If you are threatened or believe a crime has been committed, contact An Garda Síochána.

8. Reporting Abuse

To report a user who has breached these terms, email legal@ambomcq.ie with their display name and a description of what happened. When we receive a report, we may review the relevant messages or shared content and may warn, suspend or remove the account involved. We may also preserve and disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of any person.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ambo MCQ and its owner from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: your use of the service, including the friends, sharing, challenges and chat features; any message or content you send or share; your interactions with other users; your breach of these terms; or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

10. Pro Subscriptions

Pro is a recurring monthly subscription, billed in advance through our payment provider. You can cancel at any time using the Manage Subscription button on your Account page; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, and no further payments are taken. From time to time we may offer Pro free of charge as a promotion. We may change Pro features or pricing; any price change will be notified to you in advance and will only apply from your next billing period.

11. Intellectual Property

The questions, answers, rationales, design and software of Ambo MCQ are protected by copyright. They are owned by us or are used by us with the permission of their owners. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own study while your account is in good standing. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell or republish them, or collect them by automated means.

12. Availability and Changes

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time. We may update these terms from time to time; if we make material changes we'll let you know through the site or by email, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ambo MCQ and its owner are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, opportunity or exam results, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

15. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact us at legal@ambomcq.ie.
